Last night our yoga instructor (power Heidi) still wasn't back from her surgery but it was a good class. I'm surprisingly sore today in my legs, usually it is my side abs, so that feels good. I was able to get in a nice 1 mile before the class started with an elliptical warmup.

Today I was tired driving from work to the gym. As I was getting out of my car I noticed I had a half of one of those Dove Promises milk chocolate hanging around so I was ecstatic to eat this. What did it say on the wrapper? Something like "go curl up on the couch." That is definitely what I wanted to do!! I didn't really have a goal mileage in mind, and I don't really have one for this week. I think it will take some pressure off of myself and maybe I'll enjoy it more and not try to push it. So I got in 3 miles and took a mini break and made it through another 2.7. I wanted to make it to 6 when I was close and half way through was even thinking 7, but a side stitch wasn't allowing that. In between I did some biking to see if it would go away. It didn't. While I was running, I was looking forward to my shower with my DOVE soap! I was picturing the smell of the soap and lathering up, oh mama! (something is wrong with me, I'm fantasizing about soap). I should maybe bring soap to work so that when I go to the bathroom 27 times I can have an even better experience when I wash my hands.

The little peanut has been doing karate moves, kickboxing and flips (preparing to be a swimmer hopefully) all day long today and yesterday. I think all the movement is making me tired!! On Monday will be 7 months!

16 days till xmas!!

  2. I have an odd fascination with soap too. The clean smelling ones though, nothing fruity or flowery.

  7. OMG--Henry used to do flips, too, which I'd forgotten until you mentioned it. It used to totally creep out my husband b/c it looked like some crazy X Files alien stuff. He would be totally still during a run and roll all. night. long.

  9. I have to ask because no one believes me when I say I'll be running through pregnancy (when/if it happens), do you get nasty looks from people and how do you actually feel when running? I mean I've heard that if you're a runner before hand there's really no reason you can't but I know a lot of people who have nearly lost it when I said that.

  10. OK, I am starting to get a sneaking suspicion that this "side stitch" in which you keep referring is really...a BABY! LOL!

You are too funny with the Dove soap. I am going to go to Costco and buy you a box of it for Christmas.

  11. Ah, 16 days till Christmas..I have so much to do.

I think taking the pressure of exact mileage will definitely help. You are pregnant and running and being active, you are awesome.

Glad things are going well. Hope you enjoyed the smell of the soap.

  13. No mileage pressure is a good idea. At this point in your pregnancy just do what your body will let you and those days you feel good go farther, and those days you feel bad just do what you can.

  14. Great job getting that run in, even with the stitch!

So funny about the soap! I have a love affair with my soaps, too. Something about the lather, the bubbles and smell. :-)

  15. LOL, I agree this sounds like a Dove commercial. :D They should send you some free stuff! I once had a Dove Promise wrapper that said "You're allowed to do nothing." I like to think that's a card I can play whenever I want. :)

7 months, wow! You are my pregnancy hero. Great workouts and great attitude. :)

  16. That Dove soap thing is hilarious.
I'm always amazed at how you can stop a run and complete it later! Great job!

  17. Shouldn't those chocolates say something like "love is right around the corner" or "reach for your shooting star"?
