Lifting/Running Partner

I reunited with an old running partner...my little guy! Nick and I went for a run yesterday before it was super humid out. I forgot how fun it was to run and just watch him looking around : ) Soon he can go in the regular stroller w/o his carseat (when did you start putting your baby in the regular part?) - but for now as long as possible I like how he is facing me and I can see what he is doing. He'll be 6 months tomorrow!

Do you see the sun coming in - it is like a halo for the little angel : )
Tired lil guy

I've been trying to switch it up a bit! I had fun with my run yesterday, biked, ran, and did elliptical on Monday, and lifted this morning and biked and ellipticalled. I just did random things for lifting here and there for 30 minutes. I think I will try to lift 2 to 3 times a week and pick new things to do each time. I like classes or videos for lifting, because I find that I get bored figuring out what to do next. I'm going to check out on demand for that, and I think maybe the 3rd time in the week I can do Jillian for circuit training with lifting. Here's me doing some lifting of my 15+ pound weight below :)

  3. He is sooooooooo cute!!! Love that video.
I'm sure changing up stuff is all you need...and maybe not stressing over it. I think stress makes you hang on to fat?

  4. Six months is such a cute age, and Nick is an excellent example. You're going to love it when he's old enough to give you a high five at the end of your run. Very satisfying.

  6. I never used my carrier in the stroller. My 3yr old was born in July- so it was HOT and she always got way too hot in the carrier. I think my travel system was a complere waste of money!! I'm sure he would really enjoy seeing a different view, but do it when your comfortable.

  7. You need to post pictures of Nick more often... He is a CUTIE!!! Oh my gosh- don't you just smile every time you look at him!?!?! :)
I haven't run with Moana in the jogger in a long time. I'm actually looking forward to going back to that sometimes once ironman training is over.

  8. I can't believe he is 6 months already. I'm pretty sure I had Zach facing out in the bob around 5 months. But it was ice covered here then so I wasn't running with him - just getting from point A to B.

And he is one happy little guy. Too bad all weight lifting routines aren't as much fun.

  17. Wow, how is he 6 months already?

I put Baker in the stroller without the carseat right before 5 months and he was fine.

I think I forward faced my guy around 3-4 months and he was fine. He liked it better, actually! He was probably sick of staring at my face.
