I had a great run tonight! I got up early to run and did, but didn't get up early enough to be ready and looking nice for the first day so I had to cut my run short and was determined to run when I got home. I did and it was great!! I am thoroughly exhausted from this day but it went well, everything was smooth - it was just long! It is a horrible thing to say, but when I feel like I am not pregnant and run like a normal person I feel so much better! I need to think of ways to bond with this baby so that I don't have feelings that I don't want to be a pregnant lady!
Have a good week everyone!
i don't think feeling normal means you're not bonding...i feel the exact same way, i often forget i'm pregnant (til i look in the mirror anyway!) but then the kid squirms around and it's so cool. i bet you'll feel better when you can feel it moving!
ReplyDeleteglad the first day was good...mine too, like i never left...
I think I read a comment on another page that might explain your feelings. I think you are detatching because you're worried you will love and lose again. I have had that happen but no matter what your thoughts are, what will be will be. I'm glad you had a great 1st day too. I am also exhausted. I still can't believe how hard you work out while being pregnant. It felt great to get a run and sprints in this morning before work also.
ReplyDeleteYes I do feel like I've changed. I'm not as easy going and I'm a worried freak about food. I wonder if I'll ever have a normal relationship with food again. I know that my 'fear' of food has also affected my relationships around me too. Some for good, some not as much.
I lvoe your wedding pics. You are so cute and TINY!!! You can't see any belly at all girly! Have you seen my pregnancy pics from the twins? I was a house and people would ask me in month 5 if I was due any minute now!!!
Glad you had a first day back and a nice run. My only advice on the bonding is to let yourself enjoy this time.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week.
Glad to hear your first day back to school went smoothly. Don't worry about the baby, I'm sure it's just taking all the running in so it can eventually run many marathons with it's mom.
ReplyDeleteI'm with Clare, once that kid gives you a couple good kicks here and there I think you'll feel better ;-) Give it time, there's no rush!
ReplyDeleteNice work on running around the first day of work! I have nothing to add on the pregnancy front unfortunately... All I can say is, "It's all good!"
ReplyDeleteI'm not pregnant, or have had any kids. But i think pregnant women are so friggen cute! Think of it as a fun thing. Your running with a lil person in your belly!
ReplyDeleteI searched for you on nike+ is it possible to add you as my friend on there? I'm sort of still learning... :)
Glad to hear you had a nice first day and a good run. Hang in there and just try to enjoy the ride, these are special times.
ReplyDeleteI don't know anything about baby bonding but the running must be good for you and the baby, no? Don't think of the running as something that seprates you and your little bun in the oven! I just started running after a month hiatus! I didn't have nearly as good experience as you, though!
ReplyDeleteHave you named your baby yet?
ReplyDeleteAlso, is there anywhere near you that offers 4D ultrasound?
Might help. :)
Oooh, how about we do the Nike Women's next year after your baby is born??? It is only open to charity and Team in Trainaing members at this point but I have a few tricks up my sleeves. Let's see if it works out!!
ReplyDeleteI commend you for your motivation to not only run before work but also do another one later. That's awesome!
