Running - what's your therapy?
10.18.2009
No thank you!
It has been a nice year and 5 months since I had my friendly period. Nick is almost 8.5 months old and I'm still nursing, but I heard you still get it around 8-10 months. Nooooooooo! I am so bloated and just feel it coming along. I feel like CRAP! I got in a 10 miler on the treadmill due to the weather but it absolutely sucked. I felt like I was at the end of my pregnancy the way that I was taking breaks to sit on the couch right next to the treadmill to take a break. I had shortness of breath and just a feeling of total bloatedness. I'm on day 2 of feeling like this, my whole stomach just totally uncomfortable. All I want is bread right now. Ugh - I don't want this thing back!! Please tell me it gets better!

oh girl hang in there! It took a year after Rowen was born for mine to come back, but only 3 months after Kain was born (i was cheated!!) Anyway, the first one is usually the worst, I'll warn you now!! But yes, it gets better! Good luck mama!
ReplyDeleteHope it gets better. Having that bloated feeling is the worst.
ReplyDeleteUgh, I thought it was gone the entire time you breastfed! Have I been lied to?
ReplyDeleteMine came back at 6 months and it was before he even started any solids.
ReplyDeleteI checked on the endurance cubes on Friday since I still haven't gotten them yet...they are now pushed back to 10/26 :-( I'll send them as soon as I get them it'll just be a few more days.
ReplyDelete:-(
ReplyDeleteHope you're feeling better!!
Nathan's almost a year and I still haven't gotten mine yet. I was wondering when other people got theirs! But, I am still nursing and up 2-3 times a night. I don't miss it AT ALL. I've been carrying around tampons in my purse just in case. FYI, about 1-2 months ago I was feeling really crampy and bloated and thought I would get it, but it never came!
ReplyDeleteAfter my first baby, I got my period when she was 7 months old, and I was breastfeeding! But that was a one time period, because I got pregnant with my 2nd daughter the next month. Apparently my cycle changed after having a baby...Didn't get my period after the 2nd baby until I stopped nursing her. Hope you feel better soon!
ReplyDeletemine came back when i weaned around 7.5 months...i went back on the regular pill (had been on mini pill while bf) and it's just like before...
ReplyDeleteHI! Hope you feel better! It sucks feeling bloated and having to do 10 on a treadmill!
ReplyDeleteAwww, you were short changed! That seems like one of the perks! Maybe the first one or two will be more severe and then it will be easier. Hang in there! :) And keep up the great job with the running! :)
ReplyDeleteyou all seem to be the lucky ones. I was breast feeding with both boys and got my period back. At 6 weeks with the first one and at 3 months with the second one. You can get it while breastfeeding. Maybe I'm just that unlucky. I wish I could have gone till they were a year old.
ReplyDeleteHang in there! Hope is 1 year old and I still haven't gotten my period back. I am still nursing though. I will start to cut down on the feedings after we go to the ped for her 12 month appointment, but plan to hang on to 2 feedings a day through flu season, passive immunity!
ReplyDeleteI'll keep my fingers crossed you don't get it! :-) It really was so nice not having to worry about that once a month :-). I got mine back when J was 11 months old. But I got used to it again kinda quickly so it wasn't so bad. But that being said...am looking forward to getting preggo again and not having to deal with it :-)
ReplyDeleteAck - sorry girl. I was soo sad when it finally came back (around same time I think). Just be forewarned, this first one can last a loooooong time :(
ReplyDeleteCairn is 9 months tomorrow, and nothing yet for me. I was nursing for the first 6/7 months, so I expecting mine soon. My cycle is all over the place though..hence I got preggers in the first place!! ha ha.
ReplyDeleteI HATE THAT TIME OF THE MONTH! gahhhhhhh I hope your doing better hun!
