before going in the oven
yummy cooked veggies!!
This was for dinner last night and the rest of the week... took a bunch of veggies (fennel, carrots, asparagus, broccoli, sweet potatoes, zucchini, eggplant) put them in a big pan with olive oil and garlic, some salt and pepper, and baked at 450 till they were tender. Then I added mushrooms that were cooked on top of the stove, and some tofu. YUM!!
Then I made these - Angela's recipe: DELICIOUS
2 non coconut for Bill!
Today my sister moved back home from DC. I am so happy! We went swimming and she is wayyy faster than me and I had to swim FAST to keep up! We were following the board workout, and changing it up a bit because it was so uncreative (10 100s, 10 75s, 10 50s, 10 25s - basically whatever she said: build, drill, kick, I was sprinting!), It was a good workout, it just shows how you can do so much better with a partner! My sister has light hair and blue eyes and looks more like Nick's mom than me!
It is the same w/ marriage, don't you agree? Bill rounds me out as a person and makes me that much better of a person by doing so. : )

ReplyDeletelooks like a delicious dinner!
ReplyDeletetwo is always better than one! :) your lil fam is so stinkin cute by the way :) :)
ReplyDeleteIt's always good to have someone to push you a little in a workout.
ReplyDeleteYummy veggies! Zucchini is now my favorite vegetable. :)
ReplyDeleteAnd YAY for partners! I agree- they help in just about every capacity.
I successfully made the homemade granola bars this past wknd. They turned out so good. I used some coconut butter in them. Yum!! I'll have to try these out next!
ReplyDeleteI love veggies! Nick is so, so cute. Great job in the pool. I think having someone to push you is great.
ReplyDeleteYay sis! She's beautiful, and I can totally see the similarities. That's great she is closer now to spend time with Nick. AND to kick your butt in swimming, hehe. Keep up the great work! :)
ReplyDeleteHaving read your blog for awhile, it finally occurred to me that your husband looks a bit like a YOUNG (I stress YOUNG - as in before he was a bloated, depressed, road comedian...look at his book!) Artie Lange.
ReplyDelete-Bored at work
My hubby totally rounds me out, in that he is more a "go with the flow" guy and tends to be very rational. I help him deal w/ people and be more in tune w/ him emotions. Plus, I make sure he eats healthily and exercises (some)!
ReplyDeleteLove all the pics, the food ones but escpecially the fam ones. You and your sister are so pretty!
ReplyDeleteI love having a sister, sisters are the best! (Only when you both grow up though, when we were little, we were arch enemies!) But I can really see the family resemblence! So cute!
ReplyDeleteAnd yummy veggies! Tasty!
i made my first attempt at granola bars...uh didn't totally follow the recipe so I mostly made granola, but it was SOOOO GOOD. The problem was I couldn't stop eating it
