comparison photos 25 weeks

25 weeks: the week of side stitches, lots of walking, and attempting to sleep at least 8 hours a night

Here are 25 weeks pics to compare. The bigger pics are pregnancy #2 and the little ones are with Nick. You can definitely tell I'm bigger with less ab muscles, but am I carrying differently?
then

Thanks for your thoughts on the stroller - I ordered one! Score. Today is the last day of the sale at
LL BEAN on the Bobs!

25 weeks
Swimming - instead of getting up at 5, I've been getting up at 6:30 and swimming on my own 2 days and with the masters 1 day. It's been nice, I need the extra sleep, and swimming feels great.

Running - lots of walking, jogging, and shorter mileage daily runs, this week didn't feel as good - taking it easy.   I get side stitches maybe due to the positioning of the baby. It's funny because reading back to around the same time with Nick, the same thing happened!

Yoga - 1x per week

It is really hard for me to find a comfortable position to fall asleep in. I can't breathe when I'm laying down, and I'm a back sleeper but I try to sleep on my left side. Then my shoulder falls asleep or I'm drooling, and I can't fall asleep. Totally a pain, I don't feel like I'm sleeping well at all. If I wake up in the night, I think of something I need to do right away and can't get back to sleep!

I'm feeling tons of movement and I love this part :)

  1. I think you just look a little more rounder in the tummy. I still say it's a girl =)

    How exciting on the stroller!

  2. Congrats on the stroller purchase!

I think you look pretty close in size. Baby bumps are great. Enjoy the miracle!

  3. not much of a difference i don't think...good news since everyone always says the 2nd you get huge faster. definitely not for you!

  4. I just can't get over how little you are!

I am exactly the same with the sleeping - totally breathless flat so have to sleep with about 5 pillows behind me to prop me up and 2 on either side to act like the buffers you get at a bowling alley for the wee nippers to stop me from rolling from side to side or to cuddle if I'm side on.

As for waking - usually every 2 hours and can then be awake from 1 - 5 hours with my mind whizzing! Nightmare!

I think you look like you are carrying a little higher - but who knows.

    Love the kicking too!

  5. Oh and I don't know what I'm having - always wanted a surprise so we didn't ask. So don't know whether it is a boy or girl.

  6. I am sorry to hear you aren't sleeping very well. How frustrating.

In your comparison pics, it seems as if baby #2 is just sitting a bit higher. What does that mean?!

  7. Sorry that the bad sleeping is already beginning for you. That was something I really struggled with in the 3rd trimester with Norah. I had a terrible time sleeping!

I don't think you're carrying any differently, at least not in any obvious way.

  8. I think you look just a little higher with this one. A girl, maybe? I carried much higher with my girl, but I don't know if that means anything. You look great!
Sorry about the sleeping thing, I had the same problem. Do you have a pregnancy pillow?
Only a few short months to go!

  9. Congrats on the stroller, so exciting!
I would highly recommend a body pillow, if you don't have one. It allows your back, hips and knees to be in good alignment if you have it between your knees while you lie on your side. Hope this helps!

  14. Your posts make my uterus twitch with baby-lust!!!
The fact you remain fit and healthy throughout your pregnancy is absolutely inspirational, I can only pray that my body will not completely revolt against me when my time comes!

  15. You look amazing! And I am so impressed by how active you are! You do look like the babe is a little higher, but that could be the larger pic? I don't know, either way it sounds like fun!
Sorry about the sleeping! No sleep= me not happy! :( Good luck girly!

  16. Sleep is the worst when pregnant. I figured out a half side/half stomach lie that really worked for me. It was a modified side lie where I Rolled just slightly on to my stomach...It really helped to take the pressure off of my hip and shoulder without rolling on to my back.

    Good luck!
