Wrapup of the Week


A wrapup of the week!

Socks - WrightSock is sending me more socks after I wrote the blog review. Seriously, you need to get some - they are awesome!!! No blisters!! I can't tell you the size of the blisters on the bottom of my pinky toes after the 20miler in March.

The Y - I haven't been back w/ Nick. I plan to speak to someone there, but I'm terrified to leave him there regardless.

Mindless eating - full effect last night! It isn't that I'm eating bad food, I'm just eating eating eating. Last night - 1/2 a luna bar, part of a granola bar, "healthy" oatmeal choc chip mini cookies that I made that were in the freezer, Pb... Glad to see it isn't just me... Heather had a post about it today too! But that isn't good enough, I just need to work on that. Someone commented that I may not be eating enough - maybe this is possible and I'll try to eat more throughout the day.

Today - Bill had to get in work early so he was up by 5:30. I got myself out of bed, did some pumping (have to read Clare's post + comments on this) and went on the treadmill and planned on running until Nick woke up. Unfortunately, he woke up by 6 and I was only on there for a little more than 20 minutes until I went to pick him up and feed him, but the idea is that I actually got up and did some workout before the day began! I finished it later on in the morning. The problem is that after I fed him, I went back to sleep with him. This is my favorite part of the day when he lays on my chest and we go back to sleep, but I'm concerned about my laziness/tiredness! Usually I can get up at 5:30/6 and stay up! Maybe it is that I am going to bed later. I went to bed around 11 last night, woke up at 5:30 and went back to sleep from 6:40 to 9. Why am I even tired? I have to get on a schedule, and want to go to master's swimming from 5:30 to 6:30 a couple days a week. First, I guess I have to get Nick sleeping a little later. He went to sleep at 10:30 and slept till 6 which is so nice!! But in order to get to the swimming, I'll have to figure something out for that. He's getting big and really fun!!

I went to lunch with Abby and Ali - good luck this weekend girls, along with Bess and Aron and anyone else who I might be forgetting that is marathoning! BQ ladies!!

Today I was supposed to return to work! I can't believe how quickly 3 months went. It is kind of sad even though I can't imagine leaving Nick 5 days a week. I really wish I could go back 2 days a week. I miss my students and job.

  4. I am hungry all the time still. Pumping + training means a lot of calories burned. I'm going to be sad when I am no longer a calorie burning inferno.

    And you'll figure out a schedule. We didn't really have one until daycare and work forced us to get into one.

  9. Being a mom is hard work! you are taking care of him and yourself so you are bound to see some changes in yourself which aren't necessarily bad, your body is just adapting!
