Running - what's your therapy?

seconds from a PR!
I ran a 5k today to benefit my school. Bill and his parents, and Nick did it too! I was huffing and puffing - it was a super hilly course!! I could not tell what my pace even was before I hit the first mile: 7:04. Mile 2 14 something, and finished 23:17. I thought my PR was 22 something but it is 23:14! I wasn't giving 110% at the end and definitely could have pushed harder. I remember letting myself off the hook in the first mile - I need to be more hardcore!! It was a good race, I didn't know what to expect and in April ran a low 25 5k for my first speed race back! It was also fun being for a good cause and having all of the "D" family participate!

ReplyDeleteGeez Louise woman - that's an awesome time!! My best is an unofficial 25:11 (on a day where I was supposed to be doing an 'easy' run and instead decided to hotfoot it around the neighborhood halfway through since I was feeling good).
