peanut butter obsession

We all know that I have a peanut/nut butter problem... it is becoming very bad. I think I need to go to BA (butter anonymous?). Peanut butter in my oatmeal, bulgur, bread, ice cream, now I started making a peanut butter/coconut veggie sauce... It took one week to go through the Nuttzo jar. I stopped making almond butter last week in hopes it would help my problem but just ate Bill's natural jarred pb and now I could just eat peanut butter all day and night. Problems!! What is your favorite type of nut butter? What is your favorite brand?

Good news - am I back?? I think I'm back. The marathon is the end of November - which is next month, my goodness!! I was nervous about getting in a long run this weekend, as we headed to CT. Goal on Saturday to get up at 5am and run 14 on the treadmill, then Nick was up at 1am and 4am - it was the first time we drove up or were out at all after his bedtime - we drove during his bedtime after giving him a bath, and he didn't adjust well. So I could NOT get up and run at 5. I planned on it for today and followed through. 14 measly miles on the treadmill. Wasn't fantastic but I got in my mileage - alone - on the treadmill. Last month I would have skipped it.

We took Nick to his first Mets game (baseball game at all) on Saturday. The Mets stink but the stadium was new and pretty cool. Nick was great & it was fun.

  7. good for you! I just can't do treadmill anymore!

OH my.....watch it with that PB. I had the biggest craving ever for PB post partum and gained 20 lbs!! (ok, they are off now!! lol)I wanted it on a sandwich and nothing else. Didn't want my PB "watered down" into another food ;-)

  8. A love of peanut butter runs in my family. My 84-year old, docile, sweet grandmother told me once while she was dunking a spoon into her jar of Peter Pan (not my brand choice!), "The doctor said I need to cut back on the peanut butter. But if I die eating peanut butter, I'll die happy." :)

14 measly miles? Come on, I can't even force myself to do 2 on that evil treadmill. You're powering through!

  9. I go through cycles with PB. Sometimes, I am cookoo about PB and J on an English muffin and I will eat it all the time for several months, but then that phase will pass, and I won't eat PB for a looooong time. I currently in the latter cycle, and most of our PB goes to the dog (who would kill you for some PB).

Cute family pics! Nick is getting SO big!

  11. I just started the whole PB and oat bran for breakfast 2 months ago - and now I crave it all the time. Throw some honey and chia powder in there and it's SO good. I still break it up with eggs and cold cereal, but the other night after a long run that was all I ate for dinner!!

Speaking of which - 14 miles is not measly!!! :)

  12. Yay for getting in the run. And extra kudos for doing it ALL on the treadmill. I would have skipped it if I had to run that long on the treadmill :-)

And he looks super cute in the stadium!!!

  14. I've told you before that I had to ban peanut butter from the house...otherwise I would eat the whole jar with a spoon! My husband has his secret stash in his desk drawer at work. Ha ha. How sad is that?!

I can't believe you ran that distance on a treadmill. Hats off to you!

  16. Glad to hear the run went well!

We ended up mountain biking yesterday instead of running, so shooting for 10 this afternoon. Sticking to a long run schedule has eluded me this training cycling :)

  17. Good job on getting the miles in!
    Yay for marathon training!
I am a PB addict! Hello, my name is Katie, and I am addicted to Peanut Butter. There I said it.
But, I haven't been able to run all week and won't be able to this week, hurt a tendon in my leg in my marathon last week, so I have to cut back! That's okay though, it was going on EVERYTHING! And I need to loose a few! Ha! Good luck with your own addiction!

  19. After finishing a VERY large jar of Peanut Butter this past week (seriously, MUCH larger than your normal jar...must have been 60+ servings) and I said to hubby, "wow, we sure are plowing through the peanut butter." He responded: "WE?"

I think you can skip the marathon & get a medal just for that.
